Wonderland Makeup | Studio Finish Primer |  Wonderdust Loose Pigment | Blush

When I was contacted by Wonderland Makeup last month, I was excited to be introduced to a new and very exciting makeup brand from the UK. I was sent some of their products in return for an honest review and here are my thoughts.

Wonderland Makeup Studio Finish Primer

I always struggle to find a primer that actually works – keeps my makeup on all day and gives it a smooth base to work with. I think Wonderland Makeup have provided my primer solution! I always get oily skin on my nose throughout the day and so I find it difficult to find a primer that doesn’t make this worse. This Wonderland primer is lightweight and oil free so won’t make my skin issues worse. It also doesn’t sink into the pores but actually glides over them meaning that my foundation doesn’t sink in either. I absolutely love this stuff! This primer is cruelty free.

Wonderland Wonderdust Loose Pigment in Blossom

This pigment is STUNNING. Absolutely gorgeous as a solo colour all over the lid and could even double up as a highlight. This product is not only versatile but also very long-wearing. It sits beautifully on the lids and delivers just the perfect amount of shimmer and sparkle. It’s gorgeous for this time of year too.

‘Blossom’ Loose Pigment swatched in Natural Light

Inside the cute little pot you get 1.5g of pigment. The pot has a sifter which makes distribution and application of the product problem free. This pigment is also cruelty free. There are lots of other colours available in the range, that can be viewed here.

Wonderland ‘Slight of Pink’ Blush

This is my perfect blush shade at the moment – slightly pink, slightly peach and just perfect for the Autumn. It has a slight shimmer finish for that healthy looking glow. It is also a fine powder which makes it easy to work with and super easy to blend out.

As with all Wonderland Makeup products, this blusher is cruelty free. You get 7g of product inside a cute little compact. I love how the Wonderland ‘W’ is embossed on the powder too – a lovely finishing touch!

Overall, I’m really impressed with my products from Wonderland Makeup. I absolutely love that they’re cruelty free too. The colour ranges are superb too – colours for every occasion and skin tone.

If you visit the Wonderland website, you’ll also find eyeshadowsmascaralipstickglittersfoundations and nail polish. There really is something for everyone.

Be sure to check out Wonderland Makeup on Instagram too – they have some amazing makeup inspiration!

Beauty Product Review – Makeup Revolution Blush Palette ~ Blush Queen

Today I wanted to tell you about my other blush palette purchase. Last week I let you in on the Golden Sugar palette by Makeup Revolution and many people were impressed with the gorgeous shades. Well I think you’ll be just as impressed with this palette!

Once again, we have eight pigmented shades here. They are a combination of highlighters and blushers. I have numbered them for you to make identifying the swatches easier.

The first four shades are perfect highlighters. They have a lovely shimmer to them and what I would normally go for myself. I took the photo in natural light, without a flash.

Shades five to six are much more pigmented and more ideally to be used as blushers. they are stunning colours and you need very little product on your brush to get beautiful impact on your cheeks. Shade five in particular could easily double up as an eyeshadow!

Here’s the look I went for –

I used –

  • Shade 1 as a highlighter along the top of my cheekbones
  • Shade 3 on the apples of my cheeks
  • Shade 4 of the very centre of the apples of my cheeks to add extra highlight

You can bu the palette from Makeup Revolution here for only £6.

Beauty Product Review – Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette ~ Golden Sugar

Eeek! This palette is just beautiful! It’s from Makeup Revolution and is the Ultra Professional Blush Palette in Golden Sugar.

Inside you have a collection of bronzers, merged blushers, baked bronzer and two merged baked highlighters.

I have numbered each shade to make it easier to distinguish the shades in the swatch photos. Here are the swatches.

The photos have been taken in natural light, without a flash.

Here’s my finished look (as usual, I went subtle – whimp!) –

For my look I used –

  • Shade 3 on the apples of my cheeks
  • Shade 1 as a highlight on my cheekbones, nose and Cupid’s bow
  • Shade 7 as a contour
  • Shade 2 (a tiny amount) over my cheeks

You can buy the palette for £6 here.

My Beauty Favourites – July 2016

Hi Readers!

This is the first of many monthly posts about my favourite beauty essentials. I hope you’ll keep checking in to see the products I have to review which will include both old, reliable favourites and the new kids on the beauty block. I have included links for each product, should you wish to buy one yourself.

COCOYOU Coconut Oil

As you may already know from my previous coconut oil post, I absolutely love this stuff! I eat coconut oil, drink coconut oil and use it on my face and body. I put it on my face each night to keep wrinkles and dry skin at bay. I love how soft my skin feels in the morning. I also put some in the ends of my hair to stop them getting dry and split. There are so many uses for this miracle product and recently Lucy Bee (the queen of coconut oil!) has released a book which suggests tons of beauty uses for coconut oil. I will be buying that book next month – keep your eyes peeled for a review!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate 15 Year Collection

I am so in love with this lipstick! It is one of five shades created by Kate Moss with Rimmel to celebrate her 15 year collaboration with them. I got this in the shade Boho Nude, but to be honest all of them are beautiful.

I am always a bit dubious about buying lipsticks that claim they will stay on your lips for hours and hours, but I have to say this one does hang around for quite a long time! I did notice that some of the product came off when I ate my lunch, etc. but it was still visible on my lips afterwards. The lipstick is also very moisturising, which is a big plus point especially as I wear a lot of matte lipsticks which have a tendency to dry my lips out. They’re currently part of a ‘Buy one get one half price’ offer in Boots at the moment, so I bought the eyebrow gel too – another brilliant product.

Tanya Burr Peachy Glow Palette

Ahh I love this palette so so much! It’s a real bargain too! I love peachy toned makeup at the moment as it makes my blue eyes pop and it is perfect for the summer. The powders in this product are highly pigmented and very little product is needed for a beautiful finish. I have a feeling I will have this palette for a very long time!

I will be doing a FOTD vlog in the next week or so featuring this product along with the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, so look out for that one!

L’Oreal Paris Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara – Waterproof

I will let the photos do the talking with this mascara! It’s the best mascara I’ve had in a long time. I have incredibly short eyelashes and have always struggled to find a mascara which both thickens them out and lengthens them. This mascara does the job beautifully.

Thank you once again for taking the time to read my post.

Let me know – what are your beauty favourites this July?
