Are you, like me, looking for an injection of colour into your makeup routine? Do you want to wow passers-by with your rainbow eyelids and creative makeup? Well, you’ve come to the right blog post. This palette from Blush Tribe will not disappoint in the pigment department – bold, bright, floral and gorgeous – the Blossom Palette is a stunner in its own right.
There are 16 flower-theme shades – all mattes and all unique. I own nothing like this palette and I wonder what I was doing before I did! It really has opened up my mind and creative juices to colourful eye looks and ideas. I have been scanning Pinterest for inspiration and even had a go myself at something pretty bold (for me anyway!) yesterday – but more on that later.
The eyeshadows are soft to the touch and easy to blend and apply. I would definitely recommend placing down a white liner on our eyelid first so that the colours really pop and stick.
When I swatched the shadows, I didn’t place down a primer or white liner, so this is them in all their glory.
Just look at that blue!
Even though there are some very bright and potentially intimidating colours in this palette, there are also some which are perfect as crease and transition shades and for all over the lid for every day wear.
I had a go at a sunset eye yesterday using this palette and the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in ‘Milk’ as a base.
I was impressed with the pigment of the eyeshadows and the way they blended so well, even on a tacky base. This palette is also cruelty free – overall, a big thumbs up from me!

Before pregnancy my hair was as strong and long as a pony’s mane, my nails were as sharp as daggers and my skin, well that wasn’t too different to the average girl – hormonally challenged, sometimes dry, sometimes oily. Since having Baby J, my hair is weaker and my nails snap at the word ‘Boo’! When I was offered some Biotin supplements to try by Transforme, I couldn’t say no!
These supplements are for the improvement in the condition of your hair, skin and nails and contain coconut oil (as you all know by now – my fave thing ever!). You receive 360 capsules in a bottle (almost a year’s worth!) and you take just one a day.
These little drops of sunshine contain ingredients that not only promote hair growth they also strengthen hair and reduce hair loss! The ingredient Biotin is also known as B7 and has many health and beauty benefits for both men and women.
Some more benefits are explained in this Transforme video below:
Transforme are a UK based, family-run business and trusted brand for over 15 years. They sell first class products that are exceptional quality and excellent value for money – often 80% cheaper than high street retailers. They also sell supplements and minerals, vitamins, natural beauty products and health packs. You can search by your condition on their website and find suitable products for you too. I have been taking the Biotin For hair, Skin and Nails supplements for over two weeks now and have been amazed with the results. My skin is really clear, just the odd (normal) imperfections here and there. I have also noticed a massive difference in my nail strength – I’m enjoying wearing nail varnish again without my nails snapping underneath and chipping the paint. My hair is glossy, thick and feeling stronger than ever – if you don’t believe me give these babies a go yourself! They are £13.99 a bottle – a brilliant price considering you get almost a year’s worth of supplements. You can purchase them here.

Last week I was sent some beautiful hair accessories from Hair Accessory Store. They are an independent, online business specialising hair ties, alice bands, bun garlands, head scarves and many more! Here’s what I received…
These beautiful hair elastics each have a fabric rose securely attached to them. They are a simple way to make your average ponytail look much more pretty and ready for Spring/Summer. I’ve been wearing these when I go for a run to pull my hair back as the elastics themselves are very strong and really hold my very thick and usually untamable hair into place. You can buy the hairbands here for £2.49.
I just adore this piece! It really gets me in the mind of festival season and Summer. The roses themselves are beautiful and I especially like the dusty pink coloured one. The colour combinations are beautiful. This is as innovative as the hair ties in that you can use it to add extra prettiness to an otherwise plain hairstyle. This garland is used to wrap around your hair bun – excellent for holding down and hiding any stray hairs too! Buy yours here for £2.49.
This chiffon headscarf has the most beautiful print. I am all about these colour combinations of pinks, creams and greens. I love to wear this in between wash days when my hair is a mess and won’t do as it’s told. This instantly makes it look pretty and also controls it again so I can get on with my day without constantly blowing my hair off my face! This is also adjustable, so if you have a big head like mine, you can make it fit. Buy yours here for £2.99.
Animal Print Chiffon Elasticated Hair Bandeau
I also received this brightly coloured bandeau (which isn’t currently available on the website). It has various animal prints on it in cool, bright colours. This one is elasticated around the back and is easy to fit on and not ruin your styled hair underneath.
Take a look at Hair Accessory Store for more gorgeous accessories for your hair. They range from practical to dressing up, children’s to festival. They also do free delivery on orders over £10! Their prices are very competitive – I’d say they’re even better value than the likes of Primark. To visit the store, click here.
